I am Associate Professor Dr. Remzi Karadağ, and I have been serving for many years with my work on eye health. With my knowledge and simultaneously pursued career, I continue my studies using the most current methods offered by modern medicine with a patient-focused approach.
Education and Specialization:
After receiving my basic medical education at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine between 1993-1999, I completed my residency at Ankara Numune Education and Research Hospital in 2003. After finishing my residency, I worked as a Specialist Doctor at Ankara Sincan Nafiz Körez State Hospital. I received the title of Assistant Professor in 2006 and Associate Professor in 2011. I have served as a faculty member in the field of ophthalmology at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University and Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Medicine. During these periods, I also held positions as the Assistant Chief Physician at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Hospital and as a member of the Ethics Committee. In addition, I have been a member of the faculty council and the faculty executive board at Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Medicine.
I am currently a member of the editorial board for 10 international journals.
I have over 100 academic articles published in the international literature.
In 2012, I was the first to define the surgical technique known as “Trocar-assisted sutureless intrascleral haptic fixation” in the international literature.
Moreover, we have introduced several other surgical techniques combined with this technique to the international literature. Some of these include our technique with corneal transplantation, and another technique involves sutureless corneal transplantation.
My publications have received over 1000 citations in the international literature.
I have edited one book translation, authored chapters in 5 national books, and contributed a chapter to one international book.

Turkish Ophthalmology Association,Furthermore, I am an active member of the Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Cornea and Ocular Surface, and Glaucoma units within the Turkish Ophthalmology Association.
International Experience:
My international experience at Thomas Jefferson University, Wills Eye Hospital, during 2015-2016 provided me with a global perspective. The opportunity to work with colleagues from different cultures was an unforgettable experience for me.
Today and in the Future:
Currently, I am serving at Veni Vidi Eye Center, one of Istanbul’s leading health centers, with my previous academic experience and expertise. Specializing in corneal diseases, glaucoma, oculoplasty, and cataract refractive surgery, I also perform complicated surgeries in these areas. Additionally, I pay great attention to continuous learning and keeping up with technology.
