Hello!

I am Assoc. Prof. Dr. Remzi Karadağ, and I have been dedicated to eye health for many years. With my extensive experience and ongoing academic career, I continue my work with a patient-centered approach, utilizing the most up-to-date methods offered by modern medicine.

Education and Specialization:
After completing my medical education at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine between 1993 and 1999, I finished my residency at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital in 2003. Following my residency, I worked as a Specialist Doctor at Ankara Sincan Nafiz Körez State Hospital. In 2006, I earned the title of Assistant Professor, and in 2011, I was promoted to Associate Professor. I served as a faculty member in the Department of Ophthalmology at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University and Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Medicine. During this period, I also held administrative roles such as Deputy Chief Physician and Ethics Committee Member at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Hospital, as well as Faculty Board and Faculty Executive Board Member at Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Medicine. Between 2020 and 2025, I worked at Veni Vidi Eye Center, one of Istanbul’s leading eye health institutions.

I currently serve on the editorial boards of 10 international journals and have authored over 100 academic papers published in international scientific literature.

In 2012, I introduced a surgical technique called “Trocar-assisted sutureless intrascleral haptic fixation,” which was described for the first time in international literature. Additionally, several surgical techniques that we developed in combination with this method—such as corneal transplantation with sutureless techniques—have also been published internationally.

My publications have received more than 1,000 citations in international journals. I have served as translation editor for one medical book, authored five national book chapters, and one international book chapter.

International Experience:
Between 2015 and 2016, I completed an international fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University’s Wills Eye Hospital in the United States. This experience enriched my professional perspective, providing valuable opportunities to collaborate with colleagues from around the world.

With my academic background and expertise, I specialize in corneal diseases, glaucoma, oculoplastic surgery, and cataract-refractive surgery, including complex and advanced surgical cases. I place great importance on continuous learning and keeping up with the latest technological developments in ophthalmology.

Today, I continue to serve patients from all over the world at my private clinic, providing advanced and innovative treatments using the latest technologies.
